Kindness isn't Automatic.
It's learned and practiced together.
Upstander! is an interactive bullying-prevention and social-emotional learning (SEL) school assembly for grades K–5
No obligation. I’ll respond personally.
Most bullying doesn’t show up as big incidents. It shows up in small, everyday moments. Schools talk about kindness, but students don’t always know what to do in the moment. You’re not looking for another lecture — you’re looking for something students can actually use.
You Might Be Wondering…
- “Do assemblies really change behavior?”
- “Will this actually stick?”
- “We’ve tried programs like this before.”
Those are fair questions.
What I can promise is this: students will learn age-appropriate ways to recognize bullying, understand kindness, and practice being an upstander. They’ll do it while moving, singing along to catchy songs, laughing together, and staying actively engaged — not sitting through another lecture.
One of the most powerful parts of this assembly is something very simple: students singing and moving together in the same space. When kids share music, rhythm, and motion, they feel connected to one another. They’re not just hearing about kindness — they’re experiencing what it feels like to belong and discovering common ground.
This Is Not a Sit-and-Listen Assembly
Upstander! is designed for elementary attention spans. Students aren’t sitting quietly in rows — they’re singing, moving, responding, and laughing together. The music is catchy, the stories are relatable, and the energy stays high, while the message stays clear.
Students stay engaged because they’re part of what’s happening, not just watching from the sidelines.
